A wedding photographer based in Denver, Colorado, capturing love stories that deserve to be seen and celebrated. As an LGBTQ photographer, I know what it’s like to feel out of place, especially in the wedding industry. That’s why I’ve built this space to be fully inclusive, a place where all couples can feel comfortable, seen, and truly themselves. I know how important it is to feel seen and understood and my hope is that when you see your photos you see yourself fully: loved, celebrated, and exactly as you are.
I wanted to make a business rooted in inclusivity and acceptance. I wanted to create a place that welcomed all, and welcomed all of those who wanted a different kind of wedding day experience. I have never really been a traditional guy and when I tried to fit in that box I always felt off or out of place. When I started to lean into my style of work I began to meet some really amazing people and found myself surrounded by love and support at all of the weddings I documented. Seeing people challenge the wedding industry to let go of picture perfect and be fully present is one of the most beautiful things I get to see.
My approach as a documentary style photographer is about being present and really showing up for my couples. I don't step in to guide or direct during a wedding day. Instead my gift is helping people feel comfortable being themselves all day and knowing that is enough to make magical images. I have found when I direct or pose couples it makes me force them into a box or makes them become someone they might not be. When I allow space and silence to enter I get a chance to see the love between two people. I get to see why they chose each other and why they chose to get married. Your wedding will be documented exactly as it happens so your images will not be candid they will be genuine.
Life experience and grief have shaped my style of wedding photography. I learned a lot about what I value and what others around me valued. Sitting around shoe boxes full of images I watch my loved ones laugh and cry to images that were far from perfect. Pointing out people and items or recalling a day based on a single image. This is the authenticity that inspires me to capture with intention in a documentary style. I get that my style isn’t for everyone and that some might want more guidance or direction with posed shots. However for those who resonate with my style or who want to be fully present on their day, I think we’ll create something unforgettable together.
